    Sarah Elizabeth Burn Miller entered her heavenly home June 12, 2021. She was born January 13, 1982 to John and Christine Burn in Cottonwood, Arizona.

    In 1992 the family moved to Kansas. In 1998, Sarah and her mom were in a terrible car accident that took her mom’s life. Sarah suffered tremendous injuries, having multiple surgeries and spent more than two months in rehabilitation in both Joplin, Missouri and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

    She attended Sedan schools and graduated from there in 2000. She was salutatorian of her class. After graduating she attended Pittsburg State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education with her major in English. She worked at First National Bank of Sedan, Sedan Public school, and Longton Public school.

    In 2004 Sarah married Jim Miller. To this union three children were born: Earl, Samuel, and Gemma. They later divorced.

    In 2016, she moved to New Hebron, Mississippi. She passed away at Merit Health Wesley ICU in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

    Sarah enjoyed reading, her friends, and her dogs but her most important love was for God and her children.

    Sarah was preceded in death by: her son Earl, mother Christine Burn, Paternal Grandmother, Valerie Budge, Maternal Grandparents, Bob and Marian Wheaton.

    Sarah is survived by: her two children Samuel and Gemma of Sedan, KS, father and step-mother John and Jacqie Burn of Barnsdall, OK, brother Evan Burn of Whitehall, MT, sister Shelley Burn of Sale, Australia, step siblings J.J. Pond (Paula) of Broken Arrow, OK, Jeremy Pond of Erie, KS, Jessica Homolka (Josh) of Lorraine, KS, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, Maternal aunts/uncle: Debbie Wheaton, Laura Anair of Cornville AZ, Lisa (Patrick) Mcvey of Kingman, AZ, Paternal aunt/uncle: Margaret (David) Carlson of Cranbourne, Australia, extended family and friends.

    There will be a memorial graveside service at Round Mound Cemetery at 11:00 a.m, Saturday June 19, 2021 officiated by Pastor Sherman Jaquess of the Matoka Baptist Church.

    Family has suggested memorials to the Sam and Gemma Miller Scholarship Fund c/o First National Bank of Sedan, and those can be mailed to First National Bank, PO Box E, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
