  • Sedan – Caryn K. Leonard, age 57, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

    Caryn was born on January 17, 1962 in Sedan, Kansas to Claude Dean Littrell and Thelma Clydean (Darnall) Littrell.  She attended school in Sedan graduating in the class of 1980.  After high school she attended Pittsburg State University where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Services.

    She married David Leonard and they were later divorced.  She later married Marty Robertson and they later divorced.

    Caryn worked several jobs throughout the years and worked home health for a couple years before her illness.

    Caryn loved spending time with her grandkids, going to the lake, barbecues, shopping, and spending time with all her family.

    She is survived by her two sons; Sage Leonard and wife Kendra of Peru, Kansas and Skylar Robertson and wife Sheila of Sedan, Kansas; her father, Dean Littrell of Sedan, Kansas; one brother Curtis Littrell and wife Christine of Arkansas City, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and several aunts and uncles and other family and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her mother Clydean Littrell.

    A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with Brother Kevin Fogerty of the Chautauqua Baptist Church officiating.

    The family has suggested memorials to Caryn’s Grandchildren Scholarship Fund c/o First National Bank of Sedan and those remembrances can be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.

    Condolences to all the family. I’ve known Caryn all her life as fellow Elgin people. She was the most gorgeous little girl. Im Glad I was able to be in touch with her through Facebook recently. I know you all will miss her so much.


    Sorry for the loss of Caryn it is so hard to lose a family member espically so young. You are in my thoughts during this time of grief.
