  • Sedan – Larry Lehrman, age 73, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home in Sedan.

    Larry was born on October 7, 1945 to Melvin Lehrman and Eula (Nance) Lehrman in Newton, Kansas.  He grew up in Newton and attended school there.

    After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country until he was honorably discharged.  He lived in Newton for many years before moving to Sedan in the early 1990’s.

    Larry worked at Walmart in Independence, Kansas for 15 years before retiring in 2016.

    Larry was a member of the St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Newton; he enjoyed watching tv, collecting guns and knives, and he also liked working on cars.

    Larry is survived by one daughter; Lorie Bernd of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Mark Lehrman of Moline, Kansas; one sister, Sharon Hughes of Howard, Kansas; two grandchildren, Austin Howe and Dylan Howe of Gypsum, Kansas.

    He was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Kay Lehrman and his parents,

    Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.

    The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association and may be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
