  • Sedan – J.B. Bowman, age 83, of Rural Peru, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home in rural Peru, Kansas.

    J.B. was born on August 10, 1934, to George W. Bowman and Nila (Taylor) Bowman.  He grew up in the Shidler, Oklahoma area where he graduated from Shidler High School.  After high school, he attended and graduated from Coffeyville Community College.

    J.B. lived in rural Peru and rural Niotaze area for most of his life.  He was a cattle rancher and enjoyed all aspects of the ranch.  He was a member of the Kansas Cattleman’s Association as well as the National Cattleman’s Association.

    J.B. loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family.

    J.B. is survived by one son; Ace Bowman and wife Teresa of rural Pawhuska, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by two sons; Chad Bowman and George Bowman; one daughter, Tammie Bowman, and one brother, Larry Bowman and his parents.

    Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the El Cado Cemetery, rural Peru, Kansas.

    I will miss JB he meant alot to me. My Mother Mary Bowman was married to JB for a long time. They forgot to list her in the obituary that she died 6 years ago while they where married.
