  • Sedan – Grayson Roby Sutton, daughter of Robyn Sutton, age 8, of rural Belknap, Kansas passed away, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan.

    Grayson was born on January 28, 2010 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  Grayson was currently in Mrs. Bane’s Second grade class at Sedan Elementary in Sedan.

    Grayson lived with her mother and grandfather in Rural Belknap where she was involved in many ranch activites; she loved this time of year when all the new calves were being born; loved being outside with all her animals as well as her horses, dogs, cats and every animal at the 5S ranch; She also was a beekeeper, her plan was to sell honey that they had produced this summer.  Grayson enjoyed, dancing, playing with her cousins, Kamden, Lakyn, and Johnsee; Grayson will be remembered by her fearlessness, HUGE SMILE that could light up the room and the love for her Disney Princess’s.

    Grayson is survived by her mother, Robyn Sutton of the home in rural Belknap, Kansas; her Grandfather, Ed Sutton of the home in rural Belknap, Kansas; her aunt, Casee Moran and uncle Jake of Bentonville, Arkansas; her uncle Jake Sutton and Aunt Dehlia of Piedmont, Kansas; Paternal Grandmother, Becky Warden of Crowell, Texas; three cousins, Kamden Moran, Lakyn Sutton and Johnsee Sutton.  She is also survived by many other family, classmates and friends.

    Grayson was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Carolyn R. “Coco” Sutton.

    Church Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. the United Methodist Church in Sedan with Josh Brown of the Caney River Cowboy Church in Cedar Vale, Kansas officiating.  Burial will follow at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.

    Friends may call on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan.  The family will not be present.

    The family has suggested memorials be made to the Carolyn “Coco” Sutton Scholarship Fund or the Pediatric Ph Research Fund at Children’s Hospital of Colorado and may be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.

    A person can be in your life for a very short time however make a lasting impact. Grayson was that for David and I. We loved her and we love the Sutton Family. Prayers to you all for peace and comfort.

    Grayson was fun to be with. She had a sparkle in her eye AND face. She loved life. I really liked hearing her calving stories. We will miss her greatly.
